Fused Glass Jewelery

Fused Glass as a Medium for Artwork is a Recent Interest.  The Experimentation Began in a
Small Kiln and The First Results Were Jewel Like.  Creating Pendants was a Natural Result of
Taking the Tiny Gems of Color and Making a wearable Piece of  Jewelry.  The Possibilities
Multiply as More Materials are Discovered.
Dichroic Glass, Which is a Byproduct of the Space Industry, has Incredible Qualities Which add
a Measure of Magic.  It is Produced by Vaporizing Different Metals in a Heated Vacuum
Chamber where it is Applied to Spinning Disks of Glass.  Because of the Metal Layers on the
Glass, Etching with an Engraving Tool or Acid Reveals the Intricate Designs.  The Different
Metals Reflect Different Colors and some of the Pieces Shift Color Dramatically.
Embedding Silver, Gold and Copper between the layers of Glass is another method of creating a
Unique Design.
24 K Gold and Platinum Paint are also Used in the Creation of These Tiny Works of Art
